Leadership shapes culture, performance and trust. The way people communicate often determines whether teams move forward with clarity or get stuck in confusion.

Through keynotes, workshops and one-on-one coaching, I work with organisations to help their leaders to think clearly, communicate with confidence and lead in a way others feel safe, supported and accountable.

When communication gets stuck, work gets harder

Unclear expectations, conversations left too long and mixed messages can create friction, weaken accountability and slow progress.

These patterns often show up when:

  • Meetings end without clear decisions or ownership

  • Leaders avoid giving feedback or addressing performance

  • The same issues keep resurfacing without being resolved

  • Change leaves people uncertain about what to do next

  • Managers are carrying too much instead of building team ownership

These are not simply communication problems. They affect how people work together, make decisions and move forward.

Two women are sitting at a table in front of a large window, engaged in conversation. The woman on the left has long brown hair and is wearing a beige top, while the woman on the right has curly hair, glasses, and is wearing a blue top. They are smiling and clasping hands.

Build the everyday leadership habits that make a difference

I help leaders communicate with greater intention in the moments that shape team culture and performance. That can mean:

  • Setting expectations people understand

  • Listening well and asking questions that reveal what’s really going on

  • Addressing issues early, with clarity and respect

  • Building trust while maintaining accountability

  • Helping people take ownership and move forward through change

The aim is practical: better conversations that support stronger leadership and healthier teams.

Keynotes

I speak on leadership, clarity, communication and culture. Drawing on 20 years of experience across business leadership, coaching, teaching and talent development, I bring a blend of coaching expertise, communication mastery and practical experience to every talk. Each one is designed to help audiences think differently about how they show up, how they communicate and how they lead under pressure or during times of change.

For organisations wanting clearer communication and stronger accountability

1. The conversations that shape leadership

Everyday conversations shape clarity, trust and performance - yet many leaders avoid the ones that matter most. It’s often the things left unsaid, the avoidance of the “difficult conversation” or ambiguity that create confusion. This keynote explores the communication habits that help leaders set direction, build understanding and address issues early.

Participants learn how to:

  • Set expectations that reduce ambiguity

  • Ask better questions and deepen understanding

  • Address issues early and constructively

  • Build trust through consistent communication habits

“If your leaders communicated clearly and confidently, half your performance issues would disappear.”

For organisations wanting to strengthen culture through daily leadership behaviour

2. Culture is
a verb

Culture isn’t a statement on a wall — it’s shaped by what leaders say, do, notice and tolerate. This keynote helps leaders connect their everyday behaviour to the culture they want to create.

Participants learn how to:

  • Recognise the behaviours that strengthen or weaken culture

  • Communicate in ways that build trust and safety

  • Turn cultural intentions into daily habits

  • Model behaviours that support team performance

“If your leaders changed their daily behaviours, your culture would shift — without a big programme.”

For organisations navigating change, pressure or
uncertainty

3. Leading through complexity

When circumstances are shifting, people need honest communication and as much clarity as leaders can provide. This keynote explores how leaders can communicate with care and confidence, even when they don’t have every answer.

Participants learn how to:

  • Communicate clearly when things are ambiguous

  • Set expectations when not everything is known

  • Reduce avoidable confusion and overwhelm

  • Maintain trust and connection during times of high pressure

“If your leaders communicated better during change, your people would stay calmer, more focused and more engaged.”

Format & booking details

Keynotes are available as 30, 45 or 60‑minute sessions, delivered in‑person or virtually. Suitable for emerging leaders, senior leaders and company‑wide events.

Workshops give leaders a chance to practise the conversations and behaviours that shape how teams work together. Sessions are practical, interactive and grounded in real workplace situations.

They can be delivered as standalone workshops or as part of a broader leadership development programme. Each is tailored to your audience, goals and context.

One-on-one coaching for leaders

Sometimes the most useful support is focused on one leader and the real situations they are facing. One-on-one coaching helps a leader reflect, prepare and practice new approaches to communication and leadership.

It may suit a leader who is stepping into a new role, navigating a challenging team dynamic, preparing for a difficult conversation or wanting to build confidence and accountability in their team.

For organisation-sponsored coaching, we agree in advance what, if anything, will be shared with the employer. Coaching conversations remain confidential, subject to the agreed terms and professional obligations.

“I would wholeheartedly recommend Jennifer. The experience exceeded my expectations. I didn’t really know what to expect and the coaching sessions with Jennifer have taught me that I have the answers myself, I just need to know where to look and sometimes that takes time and slowing down.” - Manager, NGO, Auckland

What would make the biggest difference for your leaders?

Tailored to your organisation

There is no one-size-fits-all programme. Before recommending an approach, I’ll want to understand what is happening in your organisation, who the work is for and what you want to be different.

From there, we can shape a keynote, workshop or coaching engagement that fits your goals, audience and practical constraint
